How to use cbd

Sublingually

The most popular method of administering CBD is sublingually or applying the oil under the tongue. The oil should be dropped directly under the tongue and held for 30-60 seconds to send the molecule directly into your bloodstream.

When CBD oil is administered sublingually, it should be held under the tongue so that the mucus membranes in the mouth can absorb the oil’s active ingredients.

inhalation

Out of all of the ways you could possibly imagine using CBD, smoking (inhalation) offers the most effective route of delivery. This means that the benefits of smoking CBD can be felt almost immediately after use. CBD-rich hemp flowers closely resemble the appearance and smell of marijuana, but will not bring about any negative psychoactive effects.  Hemp Flowers are CBD-rich and low in THC (below .3%), offering a calming and relaxing sensation, without getting you "high".

Ingesting/Swallowing

Another common method of taking CBD is by ingesting it orally by beverages, capsules, edibles or simply swallowing the oil itself.

When CBD is swallowed, it enters the digestive system before being absorbed. The hemp extract in the product must pass through the portal vein into the liver which metabolizes the CBD and other molecules. This process is called first-pass metabolism.

Ingestion, while considered by most to be the easiest administration method, isn’t necessarily the most efficient for absorbing high levels of CBD unless you are consuming CBD with fatty acids that can help bypass the metabolism to increase how much CBD is absorbed through ingestion.

Topically

Many skincare items such as bath bombs, salves and lotions are now able to be infused with CBD to be applied topically. These items are generally applied directly onto the skin for localized pain relief and skin disease.CBD is absorbed through the skin so that it can interact with cells that are near the surface without ever entering the bloodstream. Our CBD Salve is perfect for those looking to address pain and skin disease.

While topicals work wonders for immediate pain relief and skin disease, it is recommended to pair with CBD oil for long term wellness.
